Development Programs
Students benefit through programs, workshops, webinars or talks. Our aim at SCDC is to share relevant opportunities and knowledge to students for their development. SCDC handles general career & development topics (Eg. Personal Branding, Work Skills and Values, Resume Writing, Career Guidance, Personality in Careers, etc). We also accept industrial knowledge talks if there are slots available.

TAR UC x SENHENG Talent Development Program
Students picked from faculties were invited to attend the sponsored training carreid out by SH Retail Academy, while being fully sponsored by Senheng. Students got the chance to learn about retail, confidence, critical soft skills and more.
TAR UMT x Senheng Graduate Entrepreneurial Leadership Bootcamp - GELB (TDP)
Another opportunity for students to strengthen their softskills and learn more about their pathway after graduating. Case studies, projects and games challenged them in the 3D2N bootcamp.

Students learned on how to improve their confidence and also the skills and characteristics needed to ace and land their first job. Speaker Mr. Aqmal Fikri shared with the students his experience and tips on what to expect for the upcoming workforce.

Grooming Session and Resume Makeover by PERKESO
A grooming session involves enhancing personal appearance and presentation, while a resume makeover focuses on improving the document representing one's professional qualifications and experiences to increase job prospects.
LPI Emotional Excellence Workshop Series
LPI stands for Leonard Personality Inventory, which is developed by our Professor Leonard. Students going through this workshop learns how to attain emotional excellence which helps them in their life. The content includes understanding about the body, mind and heart and how different personalities react to the outside world and their career. Excellence Guide In Resume Writing & Job Application Workshop by eShopLive / ePheeLive
Participants gained the experience to real-life skills on resume writing and knowledge about job application platforms. They also learned tips & tricks on how to highlight their strengths and get their resume seen by employers.
Industrial Visit - Cycle and Carriage
More than 30 students went to visit Cycle & Carriage, auhorised dealer of Mercedes-Benz. Student learnt about career opportunities, history and processes of Cycle & Carriage, and skills needed for their future. The CFO and other personnels also share their experiences.

Am I approaching the right department?
The Student Career Development Centre handles activities for career development. This can range from assessments, workshops, talks, skill improvement and etc. We usually aim to provide these activities to all students (including branch campuses). If you're looking for something more specific, in terms of research or targeted faculties, you may approach the faculty directly.

What can I expect from having an activity with the students?
You can expect student engagement (especially in workshops), sharing your knowledge, and have a great time understanding the culture of our students. Students will learn and also understand the company slightly more, while developing themselves into better talents.
